And this is one of the reasons why I love Hotch and why I think this is a great episode. I always feel scared and uneasy when large number of fans cheer and be gleeful when BAU kills unsubs no matter how bad and evil they look (Fandom’s cheering for murder often happens when team members are victimized.). I don’t know. Yes, I feel sometimes they deserve death. But I don’t want killing to be gleeful no matter what. One of the things I loved about Criminal Minds, they often killed unsubs, but they didn’t state those as their victory. Now…. I sometimes feel they (writers, creators) are callous about killing. And that doesn’t sit well with me.
